Mindful Self-Compassion (one day workshop)
I attended Melita’s Mindful Self-Compassion workshop at the end of 2023, and I think it’s one of the most meaningful and effective workshops that I have experienced.
It could not have come at a more crucial time for me, when I was experiencing a huge amount of upheaval in my personal life and a very harsh and damaging inner voice had taken toxic root. The workshop was grounded in rationality and real life, and the fact that it all made so much sense helped me to connect to everything we covered. Melita’s calm, kind presence made me feel safe enough to open up.It was not simply a feel-good exercise though; there were parts of it that triggered me and brought emotional stuff up that needed to be dealt with, and that was ultimately valuable and healing, but also confronting in the moment.
Months after that workshop, I’m still finding that many of its lessons/practices/thoughts resonate and help me. I’m drawing on the tools it equipped me with to deal with that harsh inner voice. I’m also feeling a lot better than I was last year. I’d highly recommend this workshop – and in fact, I have, to friends and colleagues.– Suzanne L
